Canoe & Kayak Tours
Flat Water
Inland touring is a purely entertaining feature of
canoeing and involves a journey or expedition in your
boat.
Touring by canoe gives you the chance to slow down
and take pleasure in the countryside. The real beauty of
touring by canoe is that you can choose your own pace and
relish each minute.
Touring is as enjoyable when you're on a solo
adventure as it is with family and friends. You can grab
a picnic and head out with no particular objective in
mind or you can pack your camping gear and travel for
numerous days or even weeks, surviving on what you're
carrying in your boat. You only need basic paddling
skills but the opportunity for satisfaction and adventure
are endless. |

| "There is a magic in the feel of a paddle and the
movement of a canoe, a magic compound of distance,
adventure, solitude and peace" |
 |
| Sigurd Olson |

White Water Kayaking
River running is the spine of recreational white water
paddling - it involves following a river downstream in
your canoe / kayak, negotiating any rapids you come
across. You'll find rollercoaster wave trains, 'haystack'
and 'stopper' waves and a vision of the countryside that
you'll never see except by canoe / kayak.
'Creeking' is a more specialised type of paddling
that searches out steeper, more committing rapids,
usually on tight mountain streams that give bigger drops,
harder rapids, tight rock gardens and waterfalls. |
 |
| "The first river you paddle runs through the
rest of your life. It bubbles up in pools and eddies to
remind you who you are" |
 |
| Lynn Noel |

Open Canoeing Touring
An open canoe can take you on a passage of discovery
down lowland rivers, on tranquil family lake trips or
down the rapids of the best white water runs. Wherever
you go, you'll be able to take to the water with the
least effort and greatest enjoyment.
The canoes tend to be wide and secure, which makes
them popular with outdoor centres and beginners as well
as with less mobile paddlers and those who don't want to
struggle into the tight restrictions of a kayak. |

Kayak Surfing
Kayak surfing is an thrilling sport, there are few
things more exhilarating than screaming down a powerful
ocean wave. Speed, precision and immediate reactions are
crucial if you're going to rip up the wave face and
finish with a spectacular airborne outlet. |
 |
| "You must live in the present, launch yourself
on every wave, find your eternity in each moment." |
 |
Wilderness Survival
Our "Back To Basics" outlook gives us an in-depth
knowledge of wealth. Forget about the hustle & bustle of
life or the technological world we live in and learn the
essentials of surviving a night or 2 under the stars with
just your fundamental equipment. Learning how to build
shelter, how to light a suitable camp fire, how to cook
without the kitchen utensils is a rewarding and
delightful thing to do. |
